For independent owner-operators & small carriers

PermitMesh

Your permit. A legal route. On any map.

Turn a state-issued oversize, overweight, hazmat or cross-border permit into the routing constraints a GPS map actually needs — axle limits, dimension windows, day-and-time travel windows, restricted corridors, port-of-entry rules — laid over Google Maps and Apple Maps, the two navigation apps you already keep open.

Flat per-truck pricing. No enterprise sales call. Cancel any month.

What PermitMesh reads

Three permit types. One overlay that turns them into a legal route.

The clauses on a state-issued permit are written for compliance officers — not for a routing engine. PermitMesh parses them into the checks a GPS map actually needs, so the route you’re planning is the route you can legally drive.

Oversize / Overweight

Dimension windows, axle splits, day-and-time play

Reads length, width, height and gross-weight clauses, plus the specific axle / axle-group limits your permit was issued for — and surfaces them as routing constraints on the corridor overlay.

  • 13′6″ height × 14′ width window
  • Steer-axle 12,000 lb
  • Daylight travel only
HazMat

Placards, restricted routes, RE-1 corridors

Reconstructs the hazmat category, populated areas, tunnel restrictions and the RE-1 routing your permit was approved for — and reroutes around tunnels and dense urban segments automatically.

  • Class 3 flammable liquid
  • No tunnel segments
  • Populated-area avoidance
Cross-Border

CBP / FAST lanes, port wait, bonded corridors

Pulls CBP/FAST port wait times, operating hours and pre-clearance requirements into the route. Marks the exact crossing your permit authorizes off the menu of nearby ports.

  • FAST-approved at Peace Bridge
  • BOE + PAR required
  • Manifest on file

How it works

From permit PDF to legal route in three steps.

No telematics hardware. No onboarding call. The first permit you scan is the first route you drive.

  1. 01

    Scan or upload your permit

Snap the page or upload the PDF. PermitMesh reads the state-issued clauses — axle limits, dimensions, time windows, restricted corridors, port-of-entry instructions.

  2. 02

    Confirm the vehicle profile

A one-tap screen — height, width, gross, hazmat class, authorized crossings. If a clause is ambiguous you get a single flag, not a pile of jargon.

  3. 03

Drive on the maps you already trust

Search the destination in Google Maps or Apple Maps. PermitMesh layers a live, truck-legal corridor on top — detours, weigh-station, low-clearance, CBP waits, all merged in.

Why PermitMesh

Built for the carriers priced and contracted out of the enterprise tier.

The market for truck navigation has two extremes. PermitMesh is the third one — for the independent owner-operators and small carriers neither side fits.

The other sides

Enterprise fleet suites

Trimble · Omnitracs · Netradyne

Built for 200+ truck fleets with multi-year contracts, telematics hardware, and a back-office IT seat. Owner-operators get priced or contracted out.

The other sides

Single-purpose apps

SmartTruckRoute · Sygic Truck · TruckMap · Hammer

Each solves one slice — routes, parking, fuel, low-clearance — in a different UI. Drivers learn three apps, and none of them know what your permit says.

PermitMesh

One overlay. On the maps you already trust. For one truck or ten.

Flat per-truck. No per-permit fees, no contracts.

FAQ

What drivers ask before they switch off three separate apps.

If your question isn’t here, mail it to permitmesh@polsia.app.

Do I have to stop using Google Maps or Apple Maps?

No. PermitMesh layers a live, truck-legal corridor on top of the navigation app you already run. Search, lane guidance, traffic, and voice reroute all stay where they are — PermitMesh adds the constraints a consumer map ignores.

Which states and permit types are covered?

Oversize, overweight, hazmat and cross-border permits across the contiguous US and the major Canadian provinces and Mexican port-of-entry corridors used by US carriers. State-specific clause libraries are updated as DOTs revise their permit templates.

How does the permit get read?

Snap a photo or upload the PDF. PermitMesh parses the state-issued clauses — axle limits, dimension windows, day-and-time travel windows, restricted corridors, port-of-entry instructions — into a structured vehicle profile you confirm in one tap.

Is this a Trimble or Omnitracs replacement?

No — and that is the point. PermitMesh is for independent owner-operators and small carriers priced and contracted out of enterprise fleet suites. It does one thing (turn a permit into a legal route) and does it on the maps you already trust.

What about weigh-station bypass and low-clearance alerts?

PermitMesh merges real-time state 511 construction and event feeds, weigh-station bypass signals, dynamic detours, low-clearance and weight-limit alerts, and CBP/FAST port wait times and rules onto the same overlay as your permit.

What does it cost?

A flat per-truck monthly. No per-permit fees, no enterprise sales calls, no contract lock-in. Drop the subscription the month you’re between loads.
